Ham General Test Passed

I went to the Belton HamExpo today and took both the Technician and General tests. After passing both of those (35/35 for tech, 34/35 for General), they convinced me to at least have a go at Amateur Extra. I had not looked at any of the material for it and had no idea what to expect, so went into it expecting poor results. I was surprised to see that I was still able to get over half of the answers right, with 28/50 correct. That is not a passing score but most of the questions were on subject matter and acronyms I haven’t even heard of, and my answers were educated guesses at best. I doubt I’ll pursue it in the future, because General covers everything I am looking for, but it seems I have a decent baseline to start with if I change my mind.

The said it would take 7-10 days for the license to be granted by the FCC.
