Garden Update

We arrived home today and were pretty eager to check out the garden progress. Turns out that all is well.

First of all, the peanut plants have begun to sprout. We’ve never seen these before, so it should be interesting.

The blackberry bushes are coming back, and lettuce/tomatoes are going crazy.

Mostly tomatoes on this side, all are doing well. Remember, these were from seed, which we’ve never grown them from before.

The spinach came up while we were gone.

And strawberries have perked up and added some new growth.

Mostly lettuces on this wall, all of which are taking off.

Banana plants are really happy. To a lesser extent the pineapple, and the raspberry we are a little concerned about. Going to transplant them soon.

The apple and fruit cocktail trees have started filling out. Lots of leaves on all of them now.

Tons of carrot heads, though they’re hard to see in this photo. Lots of luffa gourds, as well.

Summer squash and cantaloupe are growing quickly. Watermelon has come up (two rows on the right).

I can’t even remember what these were. I’ll have to go read the labels.

Tons of cucumbers, bush beans, and beets are doing well here.

And last, but not least, the asparagus is going crazy.
