Hit some sort of 5″ round concrete ball – possibly from a bird bath or similar object – when trying to do a good deed and mow the neighbor’s lawn today. Grass and weeds were grown up enough so that it was completely covered, and when I pivoted the mower on the rear wheels to make a 180°, it ended up being trapped under the deck. It bent the output shaft of the mower and now there is a severe internal knock. It’s not worth repairing, so looking for a replacement. I’m trying to decide between a gas mower (probably a low end model on the Honda commercial line) or a nicer lithium powered electric mower. We currently live on 1/4 acre. Any thoughts?
